This past weekend, Jake and Joann said I do on the most perfect of July nights. The weekend started with The Thompson family hosting the most beautiful rehearsal dinner at The Duke Mansion where friends and family dined on a beautiful steak dinner, and the most impressive groom’s cake I have ever seen – WOW Cake Factor truly outdid themselves on this Aston Martin Car Cake. While guests dined at this 007 inspired event, the most beautiful jazz music played in the background for guests to enjoy.

The next morning, Woo Cosmetics came and glammed this already gorgeous bridal party up. Joann looked exquisite with her hair pulled back into a beautiful Chignon bun. When she put on her gown, I think we all about died. Where was this gown when I got married?! It is a dream come to life! Gosh, it is beautiful!! After pampering and spending the morning with her girls, we left Myers Park Country Club and headed to Myers Park United Methodist Church where Joann shared the sweetest first look with her Father, Todd – followed by a first look with Jake. Todd’s reaction to seeing Joann was moving for everyone. Before him stood his only daughter, and only child, beautiful as ever about to marry the man of her dreams. It just gives me chills!

Following their Myers Park United Methodist Church Ceremony, the couple was wisked away in none other than the most beautiful Aston Martin I’ve ever seen. Wow – not only did Jake marry the most beautiful, kind hearted women in the world – but he gets to drive away in his dream car. Can we talk about a perfect day?? Well, it was only about to get better. As the doors to Myers Park Country Club opened, Jake and Joann were greeted by their 300 person guest list in style. Everyone looked exceptional. Donned in their finest attire, guests spent the entire night boogying to Big Swing and The Ball Room Blasters, an AMAZING 14 piece band that truly brought the house down. It was a night no one will soon forget.

To Jake and Joann – I already miss you and your families. Your wedding was incredible and I fully believe you should do a monthly repeat, and this time – I am coming as a guest!! You are two souls destined to be together and your love is infectious!! Your zest for life, adventure and a good time is certain to keep you laughing and loving at everything life offers you. I am so excited to watch you two and the life you will continue to build together!! While, #holyshytlethatwasquick, there are no two better people to be together. Cheers to The Thompsons!!
