Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens Wedding
Oh where to begin, Carrie & Michael are literally two of my most favorite people on this planet. They are the clients that every photographer dreams of having. Carrie LOVES photos and follows every suggestion you give her – and her photos come out magazine worthy every.single.time. We have now been in each others lives for 18 months, and between our Uptown Engagement Session and our Fall Engagement Session, and all the days in between I have looked forward to this Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden Wedding. You see, Carrie and her mom know how to plan a wedding, a DREAM wedding. Every last detail was thought through and every person in the world they loved was going to be in attendance.
Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden Wedding | Getting Ready
The day started at the new Hilton Garden Inn in Gastonia where the amazing Mirror Bomb Studio gals glammed up Carrie and her ladies (whom were wearing the CUTEST robes ever). When every lash was glued in place we headed over to Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens where Dottie took our breath away. Her execution of Tricia and Carrie’s vision was AMAZING. The ceremony space brought a tear to my eye. It was so beautiful…and not the last time I would cry that day. When Carrie stepped into her dress I lost it. She looked exquisite. After pulling myself together, it was first look time. Michael was bout to die from this heart stopping beauty. In Carrie and Mike’s true fashion, the first look was full of love, laughter and emotion. It was perfect.
Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden Wedding | Ceremony
What was NOT perfect, was the weather. We had an impending storm coming full speed at us. Because Carrie and Michael are AMAZING, they rolled with it. We photographed as many couple’s portraits as we could as an “insurance policy” so to speak. We wanted to knock out as many photos are we possibly could in the event it down poured on us. After getting EVERY portrait, bridal party combo, and family shot done, literally as the last shutter clicked, the downpour came. Thank you Jesus! Speaking of rain…did I mention that GORGEOUS ceremony space was outside?? Did I also mention how amazing Carrie & Michael are? Well, they wanted to make sure they said I do in that gorgeous setting, so they simply flipped cocktail hour and pushed the ceremony back. It was perfect. The skies parted just long enough to allow Carrie and Michael’s dream ceremony happen. As Carrie’s father walked her down the aisle, there wasn’t a dry eye, or seat, in the house.
Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden Wedding | Reception
The night continued with dinner and dancing. Best Impressions wowed everyone with Filet and Sea Bass, while Spilt Second Sound set the tone for the night. The highlights included an AMAZING speech by Michael’s brothers – it was hilarious, glow sticks and cocktails. I think its safe to say everyone enjoyed the night.
To Carrie & Michael, while the wedding is officially over, I know OUR time together is not! I love you both to pieces and cannot wait to see how your journey plays out!!
XOXO –
