Alexander Homestead Wedding | Laura & Robert
Oh am I sad to see this wedding pass!! I LOVE me some Laura and Robert. When I met with them last year at Waterbean Coffee Shop, I immediately fell in love. These two will have you rolling on the ground laughing. Laura is my new best friend and well Robert is just the most genuine person you’ve ever met. I’m not exaggerating when I say I love them and their Alexander Homestead Wedding. I mean…can we talk about that gorgeous bridal party and outstanding color palette?!
The morning started at Laura and Robert’s amazing new house where the girls were beautified by the one and only Lovely by Lindsey. She is one of my absolute FAVORITE hair and makeup experts in the Southeast and is one of two I recommend to every.single.client. I love her – in fact, I love her SO much I hired her to make me look my absolute best for The Mrs. North Carolina Pageant. Once the girls were looking their best, we headed to Alexander Homestead where Laura got into her dress and was presented with the sweetest gift in honor of her Poppy from her mom and maid of honor. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house.
Alexander Homestead Wedding | First Look
Robert and Laura decided on a first look and boy was it perfect. Alexander Homestead has the most picture perfect grounds and we decided to photograph as much as we could in front of the most beautiful willow tree where the light hit everyone just right. Robert was floored when he turned around to see Laura. She quite literally took his breath away. The moment they had both been waiting so long for was now upon them. They were about to say I do.
Alexander Homestead Wedding | Ceremony
At 6 PM it was time for the ceremony to begin. What was so wonderful about Laura and Robert’s gorgeous Alexander Homestead Wedding Ceremony was how personal it was. I have never photographed a ceremony quite like it, actually. Everything the pastor said was specific to THEIR story, the vows Laura and Robert recited were letters written to each other, and of course – in true Laura fashion – the animated faces she makes were present – making every guest FEEL exactly how she felt at each part of the ceremony. It was perfect.
Alexander Homestead Wedding | Reception
As we all know – once the first look happens – the entire day begins to FLY by. That was certainly the case with this wedding as well. The rest of the night was spent laughing and dancing. This group can booooogy. I’ll let the rest of the photos tell the story from here – but to two of my favorite people in this world – I am so excited for you to start your lives as Mr. and Mrs. Pearson. You are two of the BEST!! Your lives together will be filled with love, laughter and an abundance of happiness!!!
XOXO – Katy
