Romantic Lake Norman Summer Wedding | Brittany & Kurt

Oh where to begin…first, anytime I have a Lake Norman Wedding I am a happy camper, but give me a boho chic, romantic backyard wedding – and wowza. I really think the intimate backyard wedding is severely underrated. They are AMAZING. When you have a couple as amazing as Brittany and Kurt, a GORGEOUS lake house and the family that these two have – it all equates to perfection. Don’t get me wrong, I love a big ballroom wedding – I was the girl that had that huge wedding – but there is something SO intimate and personal and perfect about a backyard wedding.

You may remember this BEAUTIFUL couple, Brittany and Kurt, from one of my favorite engagement sessions to date – and if you don’t, just click {here}…. but these two are not only wonderful individuals, but an inspiring couple together. The entire day I could not stop smiling, crying, or repeatedly telling Brittany how lucky she was to find a man like Kurt. He beams when he looks at her…she truly takes his breathe away. Proud does not even begin to describe how he feels about her.

This Lake Norman Wedding started early in the morning when B and her girls got glammed by the fabulous Cali Stott. When I arrived, I was blown away by the backdrop Pamela – of Aisle Say Yes, had created. I didn’t think it was possible to make this beautiful home look even better, but Pam and her team certainly did. In fact, they designed the entire wedding day off earrings Brittany had picked out as her inspiration! It was fabulous! (Sidenote ladies – I think EVERYONE should hire a planner for their wedding, at bare minimum month of coordination because its YOUR day and you deserve to enjoy it, not worry about executing an event – and Pam is AAAAAAMAZING. Hands down one of the best wedding planners I’ve had the pleasure to work with! She was absolutely a joy to work with that day!)

While this day was unforgettable in so many ways, I will just name a few to the highlight this magnificent day – 1. I have to say it again, the way Kurt looked at Brittany, and always looks at Brittany. Shamus (of Shamus Coneys Films) literally could not stop talking about this. There is not a word in the dictionary that would adequately describe how he looks at her. It is breathtaking, and beyond respectful. She is his everything. 2. These two families – talk about one in a million. They are fabulous!! They embrace life to its fullest and open their arms for you to join in on the fun. 3. Kurt’s aunt dance….there was not a dry eye in the house. His mother would be (and is) so proud of him and the women he chose to marry. 4. THE BEST EXIT EVER!!! Omgosh, can every couple please do Chinese Lanterns for their exit. It was AMAZING!!!
