Green Gables Farm Wedding | Hannah & Jesse

This past weekend, Hannah and Jesse said ‘I do’ on a picture perfect Saturday at Green Gables Farm. You may remember Hannah and Jesse’s dream Biltmore Estate engagement session, but if you don’t, here is a reminder – {Biltmore Estate Engagement Session}. For her wedding, Hannah envisioned a simple, elegant night that was brought to life by the help of Elegant and Classy Events (Sommer Shotles). She wanted to keep the natural beauty of the venue, and enhance it with beautiful florals and simple touches of candle light. I’d say she hit it out of the park.

Green Gables Farm Wedding | Getting Ready

Our morning started as it always does, with me and my second (the fabulous Alexandra Blackmon) photographing the property and Hannah’s details. I love starting the day this way because it gets my creative juices flowing. Seeing each bride’s details gets me so excited because it is such a personal decision and truly speaks to who they are…and let me tell you, Hannah’s details were speaking my love language. Her SHOES!!! HOW LOVELY ARE THEY?!

Green Gables Farm Wedding | Ceremony

One of my favorite parts of this Green Gables Farm wedding day was how family focused it was. As someone who had A TON more friends at her wedding, half of whom I don’t keep in touch with anymore because life happens, it is SO refreshing to see. This family is truly the best of friends. They spent the entire day together, supporting each other, crying with each other and laughing with each other. They danced the night away with each other. They toasted Jesse and Hannah in such touching ways, speaking of how proud of them they were, how life-changing them being born was, and how supported they were. There was, including myself and Alex, not a dry eye in the house. It was perfect.

Green Gables Farm Wedding | Portraits

For Hannah and Jesse’s portraits, we had to get a little creative. Light trumps location EVERY time for this very reason – we had HIGH sun all day, there was very limited open shade, let alone even light – so we decided to photograph most of the portraits – including family portraits – in the same location as our first look. As beautiful as that floral arbor was, the sun was hitting everyone directly in the face, and we all know that isn’t ideal!!

To Hannah & Jesse – I am so humbled and grateful to have met you both. You are two amazing individuals and together – are unstoppable. I am so excited to see where life takes you and the joy you bring to each person you meet!!
