Founders Hall Wedding | Katheryn & Michael
Did ya’ll know Founders Hall hosted weddings?? I certainly didn’t, and MAN am I sad I didn’t know earlier!! I LOVE Founders Hall and it is such a beautiful venue for a wedding…and this Founders Hall Wedding was spectacular!! With Ivy Honeycutt of The Silk Veil is at the helm, it is sure to be a well executed event, and when she brings in her team of chosen vendors, you REALLY know it will be amazing!! Just WAIT until you see April’s flowers on this one…
I met the fabulous Katheryn (can I get an amen on the spelling – first time I’ve EVER met someone who spelled their name as I do!!!) 18 months ago at Panera and immediately fell in love. If you were to google the definition of ‘joyful bride’ you would find Katheryn Cipriani’s name next to it. She exudes happiness and it is infectious. She has a heart of gold, a calming sense about her, and is just joyful. There is no better word to describe her. Her love for Michael, her family and her tribe is undeniable.
Omni Hotel Bridal Suite | Getting Ready
On Katheryn’s wedding day, I knew the emotions would be running high. She told me her family was an emotional family and after 18 months of planning, she was ready for this day to be here. Ya’ll…no lie, I EVEN cried. From seeing Mike cry during the first touch…to the tears between mother and daughter when the realization her baby girl was about to marry her best friend, to daddy seeing Katey for the first time, and the memories of her growing up – taking her first steps, preforming Cruella Devil with her cousin, Daddy/Daughter dances, summer nights spent with family, and talks about her true price charming that would one day come to her – came rushing in. The day was here, and the memories were speeding through everyone’s minds as they prepared Katey to walk down the aisle.
Belmont Abbey Church | Wedding Ceremony
When the clock rang 3:00 PM, the church doors opened, and Katey, veil covering her face, escorted by her father took a deep breath and slowly walked down the aisle. I can only imagine the pride, emotion, and joy Lou felt giving her away. The peace, Katheryn felt when she finally saw Michael at the end of the aisle. The overwhelming love Michael felt as tears cascaded down his cheek as his bride walked towards him – ready to enter their future as Mr. and Mrs. Philbeck.
Founders Hall Wedding | Reception
Oh. My. GORGEOUS!! Can we talk about this reception set up? I am CRAZY about the X table, those absolutely perfect, gorgeous florals by April and of course, that beautiful cake! I could have spent a good hour photographing these details, but sadly, people have to eat ;). The evening kicked off with The Company Band bringing down the house as Katey and Mike were announced. Lou, Katey’s father, had the crowd in tears as he walked everyone down memory lane speaking of letter’s he saved that Katey had sent him when he was overseas, how proud she had made him, and of course, how there was no greater joy in his life – than Christmas Day the year his sweet baby girl was born. It certainly was a night to remember, a night full of love, laughter and celebration.
Katey and Mike – your love is inspiring. I am so excited for you to start your life officially as Mr. and Mrs. Philbeck. It was such an honor to photograph the start of your forever, and document these moments for the generations to come!! I am so excited to see where this crazy thing we called life takes you together!!
Until then – XOXO
